Flair Leisure Products PLC, is a major, well-respected, player in the toy industry that have launched some of the most popular brands licenses in the UK such as Sylvanian Families, Disney Princess & Plasticine. Working alongside British toy design consultancy “Design Matters” we were approached to help develop “Magic Jewels” a brand new Craft Set for young girls bearing the internationally renowned “Disney Princess” Brand.
The Brief
1: Develop the approved sketch concepts of this new craft set into a final set of high quality presentation visuals, highlighting the product details and styling along with its innovative and creative design features
2: Provide a set of 3D Cad modelling data to aid the manufacturing of the final product.
Our Solution
Collaborating and working with Design Matters and Flair Plc on this project was a little more straight forward for us. We were asked to do what we are good at: 3D Cad Design and product Visualisation. Although generally involved in the design process of products we were pleased to be sent a set of stunning product sketches and final concepts to get our teeth into. Design Matters are a talented bunch so we knew manufacturing processes and packaging had been well considered within the designs along with some fantastic sketches of the minor details of the design. We just needed to work our magic using our digital imaging skills and techniques to build the product in 3D and present a set of realistic product visuals for the client.
We utilised our core in-house skills to create the design elements in 3D Cad, and then used our digital photographic studios to render and composite a set of realistic product visuals to showcase the final design elements, piece count and game play.
SorbetMedia presented a range of skills in this project. Bringing together, 3D Cad Design, Product texturing, mapping and rendering along with detailed relief modelling and graphic composition to create a set of presentation visuals.
