The Portfolio Innovation Centre is an exciting home for new and emerging design, digital and creative industries in the Northampton region. Providing state of the art space for its tenants to set up business the centre’s mission is simple: to nurture talent and innovation and to provide its resident entrepreneurs with all the tools, advice and resources they need to achieve, succeed and thrive.
The Brief
Create an interactive section of the Portfolio’s new website to allow tenants, new customers and site visitors to see an overview of the buildings facilities, floor and office layouts along with the ability to see available and occupied office spaces.
Our Solution
Any one that has visited the Portfolio Centre will agree that its a fantastic building. Top of the range facilities offering great spaces for Design, Digital and Creative companies. Housed within Northampton Universities Park Campus its surrounding buildings can offer a slight distraction to its subtle architectural features. With this in mind we wanted to create an animated, interactive floor map that was truly eye catching and utilised some of our skills in 3D Visualisation. We decided to make the building look like a scale white card model, highlighting some of its external features along with providing some key internal features.
Not without its challenges, this project was a great opportunity to showcase a mix of 3d art, interactive multimedia with a simple, effective user interface.
