BodyMek Ltd is a Northamptonshire Garage providing over 100 years combined experience in the auto trade. Offering quality services at competitive prices has allowed them to stay ahead of their competition for many years. As a well known name around Northamptonshire we were delighted when they approached us to make their first steps onto the internet.
The Brief
1: Create a new dynamic website to showcase their professional services, news, events and relevant company information for the public and their customers.
2: Provide an online gallery of products for customers to browse and enquire about prior to purchase.
Our Solution
Being asked to create a bespoke site and have free reign over graphics, layouts and interactive elements is the pinnacle of creative web design. Couple that with an industry known for custom body kits, high performance exhausts ad some wheel rims to make your wallet bleed it was a great project to take the driving seat on. (sorry had to be done!!) Introducing BodyMek to both Flash and HTML authoring environments for web publishing they seemed set on taking advantage of Adobe Flash’s dynamic interface and interaction along with some of its tasty back end integration for dynamic galleries and custom content.
The final site design (and a few recent face lifts) features a crisp layout and a tight, clean graphical style tied together with subtle section transitions and custom pre-loaders, providing a fluid movement through the site content. We wanted the sections to appear effortless and smooth whilst offering an overall feeling of performance, much like a luxury car. Definitely worthy of a test drive!! (Ok no more lame pun’s I promise!)
An early project for SorbetMedia.com but one we’re still very proud of. Showing that flash web design doesn’t have to be littered with music, animation and newfangled whirligigs!
